How Emsella works
You sit – fully clothed – on a specialized chair that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles directly. Each 28-minute session triggers roughly 11,000 deep muscle contractions, engaging the pelvic floor far more intensely and completely than voluntary Kegel exercises can. There are no probes, no needles, no medication, and no downtime.
What Emsella can help with
Emsella is worth discussing if you experience stress incontinence (leaks with laughing, coughing, or jumping), urge incontinence (the sudden need to go), mixed incontinence, pelvic floor weakness after childbirth, or symptoms that have developed with perimenopause and menopause.
Emsella for men
Pelvic floor weakness is not a women's problem. Men lose pelvic floor strength with age, and prostate surgery in particular can leave the muscles that support the bladder unable to do their job. Emsella is FDA-cleared to treat urinary incontinence in men as well as women, and the treatment is identical either way.

What to expect
A typical course is six sessions over about three weeks. Most people read or relax during treatment and return to normal activities immediately. Clinical studies report that a large majority of patients experience meaningful improvement in leakage and quality of life, with many reducing or eliminating pad use. Does Emsella hurt?
No. The sensation – tingling and strong internal contractions – is unusual at first but generally well tolerated. You stay fully clothed the entire time.
